Life Transformative Program arrives at Shiner ISD and Shiner Catholic School

Shiner, TX  – The Don G. Kaspar Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with Kaspar Companies and The Flippen Group to bring the life-changing "Capturing Kids’ Hearts" program to Shiner Independent School District (ISD) and Shiner Catholic School. This groundbreaking initiative, designed to enhance relationships and transform school culture, recently kicked off with two days of intensive training led by The Flippen Group.

The "Capturing Kids’ Hearts" program is widely recognized for its powerful impact on school communities across the nation. It fosters deep connections between staff and students, as well as among students themselves, creating an environment where intentional relationships lead to meaningful transformation. The program has been credited with improving attendance, cultivating a safe and positive classroom culture, reducing discipline referrals, and significantly lowering incidents of bullying.

"The success stories from schools across the country inspired us to bring 'Capturing Kids’ Hearts' to our local schools," said David Ehrig, Director of The Don G. Kaspar Foundation. "We are excited to be part of this life-transforming initiative. This program aligns perfectly with our mission to transform lives by strengthening families, growing faith, and uniting communities."

The recent training sessions conducted by The Flippen Group brought together staff members from both Shiner ISD and Shiner Catholic School, fostering a warm sense of unity and shared purpose between the two districts. Participants engaged in intensive exercises and discussions aimed at equipping them with the tools to create a nurturing and supportive school environment.

"Our goal is to elevate relationships within the school community to a whole new level," added Ehrig. "By focusing on relationship-building and intentionality, we believe we can make a lasting difference in the lives of students and educators alike."

The Don G. Kaspar Foundation, Kaspar Companies, and The Flippen Group are united in their commitment to creating a positive and transformative educational experience for the students of Shiner. As this initiative takes root, the hope is that Shiner ISD and Shiner Catholic School will become shining examples of how fostering strong relationships can lead to profound and lasting change.

I am super excited to be apart of the Don G. Kaspar Foundation team! My background has been managing and owning a site work construction company for 26 years. A few years back, as I’ve been walking closely with the Lord, I have exited my company to answer a call to seek a ministry degree in Biblical & Theological Studies w/ a second major in Biblical counseling. I hope to bring my business background and spiritual leadership to this foundation in order to further the kingdom impact for the glory of God in our community and beyond.
